I love having an home that is bright and simply styled. And what is summer without flowers?! I just think it’s boring! Flowers bring so much beauty and can brighten up any space that feels a little dreary.

Right now, hanging planters are so popular and they are the perfect way to bring that summer feeling right into your home. I absolutely love this idea because it’s a genius way to use vertical space.

It’s amazing how hanging just a few bits of greenery can improve the whole look of your windows, walls, and ceilings. Here are 12 of my favorite hanging planter ideas to make your indoor decor get some breath of fresh greenery.

1. Macramé Hanging Planters

I absolutely LOVE this look. Macramé planters are just timeless, aren’t they? It seems like every year, people find new ways to create charming knots for their flowers.

These planters are made from strings with all kinds of unusual knots to hold the pot. To me, they give your decor a cool, effortless boho vibe that is just perfect for summer.

2. Hanging Plant Wicker Baskets

This is by far, one of my all-time favorites. Basket planters just have that “quaint” feel that I am completely drawn to. They give off such a relaxed and easy feel, perfect for that cozy, lived-in look.

5. Cylinder Hanging Planter

This is such a unique way to hang a plant. I adore the options! You can go for a rustic look with aluminum or a patina finish, or try something totally unexpected like the burlap-wrapped one. Both are just yummy!

6. Statement Wall With Hanging Glass Planters

Wow! What a beautiful way to get creative with where you put your greenery. I can just imagine this on a patio, behind a sofa, or in an entryway. Just make sure it’s a wall that gets some good sunlight.

You can use metal holders or nails, like Ivoladore does here, to hang your planters. The best part is, this makes it super simple to switch things out when you want to redecorate or just water your plants.

8. Hanging Plant Shelf

This is such a great solution for displaying your plants. You can use wooden slats against the wall or even hanging from a rope. A rack also works to keep all your precious plant pots on display and organized in one place. Plus, it doesn’t take up that valuable floor space.
