Hi guys! I’ve been getting so many questions about adding greenery that I knew I had to make it a feature. I am obsessed with vertical gardens! There is just nothing better than a wall that’s completely overflowing with lush plants.

It’s one of the biggest trends right now, and the best part for all of us design lovers is that you can find a stunning solution for basically any budget. You can go all out with a custom-built wall or even make one yourself from plastic bottles! It’s amazing.

Today, I’ve rounded up 20 vertical garden ideas that I am just loving. I hope they inspire you to create a living work of art for your own home, inside or out…

Greenery in Frames

So many of the vertical gardens I’m seeing everywhere are framed, and I just love it. It creates this perfect balance between wild, lush greenery and a really clean, manicured style. This living work of art from Flora Grubb is just stunning. (via Bright Green and Houzz):

You don’t always have to build your own from scratch! I’m all for a good purchase. This photo shows the GroVert Frame from Bright Green. And can we talk about using it for an herb living wall right in the kitchen? It looks so fresh and bright. [photo via Houzz]

Rain Gutter Gardens

Okay, using rain gutters is such a clever idea for vertical garden supplies. There are so many ways to create your own version. This hanging garden from a Terrain retail store is just beautiful. (featured at Country Living):

I am loving this copper version I found on Houzz (from Sustainable Garden Design Perth). It uses these copper vessels that look like rain gutters, and they’re attached right to the wall with masonry bolts. So industrial and chic!

Lush Green Panels

I’m obsessed with the power of green panels. First, look at this idea of putting a vertical garden right into a fence. It works so well with modern fencing. Creative Materials

It’s amazing how unexpected materials can create the most unique vertical gardens! I mean, plastic soda bottles! They are totally your friend in this garden from the Brazilian firm Rosenbaum. It was for the 48th home in their makeover series. Get all the DIY details at The Dirt:

You could even use old pot racks! Just attach them to the side of a building to hold different potted plants. I’m loving how this one really thought about the background color. The greenery is a perfect complement to that rosy hue. [via Inhabitat]
